Sofa removal from your room to the van, without you lifting it

Sofa removal is the only thing this site is about. We collect and dispose of sofas, armchairs, sofa beds, recliners, corner sofas, footstools and pouffes from homes and businesses. Two people arrive in a van, carry the sofa out from wherever it sits in the property and load it. You open the door and that is your part done.

Every job starts with a photo. Email it to us and we reply with a fixed price for the whole job. A 3 seater, a 2 seater, a corner sofa or a heavy sofa bed all get the same treatment, and the price you are quoted is the price you pay once it is loaded.

Sofa Removal is an upper tier waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency under licence CBDU526130. We can tell you where your sofa went and provide a waste transfer note if you ask for one. Reusable sofas are passed on where possible and the rest is broken down at a licensed waste transfer station. Armchairs, recliners and footstools are covered too.

Sofa being loaded into the van

No price surprises on the day

The price you are sent from your photo is the price you pay once the sofa is on the van. If anything looks different from the photo when we arrive, we tell you before we lift it.

How you get a price

  1. Send a photo

Take a picture of the sofa on your phone and email it to us, with a line about where it is in the property. The form on this page fills the email in for you.

  2. Get a fixed price

We reply with one price for the whole job, including the carrying, the loading and the disposal. There is nothing added on the day.

  3. Pick a slot

Tell us when suits and we book it in. Same-day or next-day collection is often possible, and a message in the morning gives you the best chance of a slot that day.

  4. Pay once it is loaded

The crew carries the sofa out, loads it into the van and you pay the quoted price. You do not need to move it, strip it or put it outside.

Sofa removal questions answered

How do I get a price for sofa removal?

Email us a photo of the sofa, with a note about which floor it is on and how we get to it. We reply with a fixed price for the whole job. That price is what you pay when the sofa is loaded, with nothing added on the day.

Do I need to get the sofa outside first?

No. The crew comes into the property, carries the sofa out from wherever it is and loads it into the van. That includes upstairs rooms, flats and awkward doorways. You just need to be there to open the door.

Can you collect today?

Often, yes. We offer same-day or next-day collection wherever possible, and a message early in the morning gives you the best chance of a slot the same day. We will tell you straight away what we can do.

Are you a licensed waste carrier?

Yes. We hold upper tier waste carrier licence CBDU526130, registered with the Environment Agency. You can check it yourself, and we can provide a waste transfer note for your records on request.

What happens to my sofa after you take it?

If it is in good condition and still has its fire safety label, we try to pass it on for reuse. Otherwise it goes to a licensed waste transfer station where the metal frame, timber, foam and fabric are separated. Upholstered furniture can contain persistent organic pollutants, which is why it is kept separate from general waste and must not go to landfill.

How many people come?

Two. Every collection is done by a two-person crew with a van, so the sofa is lifted properly rather than dragged. If you want to know how a particular sofa will come out, send us a photo and we will tell you.

Do you take armchairs and footstools as well as sofas?

Yes. Armchairs, recliners, sofa beds, footstools and pouffes are all collected on the same basis. Put everything you want gone in the photo so the price covers the lot.

Why not use the council bulky waste collection?

You can. Councils generally offer a bulky collection booked in advance, with a wait, and the sofa has to be left outside on a set day. We carry it out of the room for you and aim for same-day or next-day where possible. Send a photo and compare.
