2 seater sofa removal is the small job that still needs two people. A two seater is shorter than a three seater but just as deep and just as heavy at the frame, and the squat box shape of a loveseat can be harder to get a grip on than a long sofa. Email us a photo, say where it is in the house, and we send a fixed price for carrying it out, loading it and disposing of it. You pay when it is on the van.
Two seaters turn up in places a big sofa never gets to: the box room, a bedroom, the conservatory, a home office, the end of a landing. We carry it from wherever it is, by whatever route there is, and you do not touch it. If you are weighing this against a council bulky collection, a skip or a charity, our guide on how to get rid of a sofa puts the options side by side.
A two seater is often the second sofa in a room and is sometimes replaced before it is worn out, so there is a fair chance it can be reused. If the permanent fire safety label is still attached and the sofa is clean and sound, we pass it on rather than break it up. Our guide on why charities refuse sofas without fire labels explains what that label is and why it decides what happens next.
If the two seater is part of a suite, add the rest to the photo. A matching 3 seater, an armchair or a footstool is priced into the same visit. Sofa Removal is an upper tier waste carrier, licence CBDU526130, so a sofa that cannot be reused is broken down at a licensed waste transfer station, and we can email a waste transfer note once the job is done.

How a 2 seater sofa collection works
-
Send a photo
Take a picture of the two seater where it stands and email it to us, or use the form on this page. Say which room it is in and which floor.
-
Get a fixed price
We send back one price for the collection and disposal. A two seater is quoted on its own merits, from the photo, not from a size chart.
-
Book a slot
Pick a day and we confirm it. We can often do same day or next day, and the earlier in the morning you email, the better your chances.
-
Pay once it is loaded
Two people lift the sofa out of the room, carry it to the van and load it. You pay the quoted price then and nothing more.
Why people use us
Licensed, and you can check
Our upper tier waste carrier licence is CBDU526130. Look it up on the Environment Agency register before you book, and ask us for a waste transfer note after.
Insurance in place
Every collection is covered by public liability insurance up to £5 million and employers' liability of £10 million.
The price does not move
What we quote from your photo is what you pay once the two seater is on the van. The crew does not renegotiate at the door.
Small sofa, same crew
The same two-person crew with 15 years of experience and 500 or more jobs behind them collects a two seater as collects a corner sofa.
Lifting a 2 seater out of a bedroom, box room or conservatory
A two seater is usually narrow enough to go through an internal door upright, so it is carried flat with one person at each arm rather than tipped on end. The weight is in the frame and the arms, not the cushions, which is why it still takes two people even though it looks small. From an upstairs bedroom the person on the lower step takes most of the load while the other keeps the back of the sofa off the banister. In a conservatory the shortest route is often the external door, so the crew will ask to use it if it is unlocked.
You have nothing to prepare. If you would like to help, run a hand down the sides of the seat for coins, hair grips and remotes, move anything breakable off the hall table, and open the conservatory or patio door if that is the way out. A two seater from a box room sometimes has a chest of drawers or a bed in the way, and the crew will work around it rather than ask you to shift it.
After the lift, the sofa goes for reuse if it is clean, structurally sound and still has its permanent fire safety label. If not, it is taken to a licensed waste transfer station where the timber frame and metal springs are recycled and the foam and fabric are kept apart from general waste because of the persistent organic pollutants they may contain.

2 seater sofa removal questions
Does a 2 seater cost less to remove than a 3 seater?
We do not publish a price list, and the size of the sofa is only one of the things that affect the quote. Send a photo and we reply with a fixed price for your two seater, and that price covers carrying, loading and disposal.
Can you take a 2 seater from an upstairs bedroom?
Yes. Two people carry it down the stairs and out, and that is part of the job rather than an extra. Mention the staircase in your email and send a photo of it if it has a turn.
I have two 2 seaters. Is that one job or two?
One job. Put both sofas in the photo and you get a single price for the visit. Add the armchair or footstool too if they are going.
Could my 2 seater go to charity instead of being scrapped?
If it is clean, sound and still carries the permanent fire safety label, we pass it on for reuse where we can. Charities will usually not accept a sofa without that label, which is why we check for it before anything else.
Does a loveseat or snuggler count as a 2 seater?
Yes. Loveseats, snugglers and cuddle chairs are collected on this page. They are often wider and deeper than a standard two seater, so a photo from the side helps us quote correctly.
Do I have to be in when you collect the two seater?
Someone needs to open the door and let the crew in, because we carry the sofa out of the room rather than picking it up from outside. It does not have to be you, as long as whoever is there knows which sofa is going.
