Sofa removal across Edinburgh and the Lothians
Edinburgh and the Lothians is 15 towns and cities we cover, from Edinburgh and Livingston to South Queensferry and Haddington. Council bulky waste collections differ from one area to the next, with City of Edinburgh Council, West Lothian Council and East Lothian Council among the 4 councils running their own schemes and booking times, but the collection we offer works the same way everywhere: send a photo of the sofa, get one fixed price back, and two people carry it out of the room and onto the van. Pick your town below for the postcode districts and neighbourhoods it covers.
Sofa Removal holds upper tier waste carrier licence CBDU526130 with the Environment Agency, and every sofa collected in Edinburgh and the Lothians goes to a licensed waste transfer station or is passed on for reuse. Ask for a waste transfer note and we will send one.

Sofa removal in Edinburgh and the Lothians: questions answered
Which towns in Edinburgh and the Lothians do you cover?
Every town listed on this page, and the villages and estates around them. If your town is not listed, send a photo anyway with your postcode and we will tell you if we can collect.
Is the price the same across Edinburgh and the Lothians?
The price comes from your photo and your postcode, not from a list. Send the picture, say which floor the sofa is on, and we reply with one fixed figure for the whole job.
How quickly can you collect in Edinburgh and the Lothians?
Same-day or next-day collection is offered wherever possible. An email early in the morning gives you the best chance of a slot that day.
Do I need to get the sofa outside?
No. Two people carry it out from wherever it sits, including upstairs rooms and flats, and load it onto the van. You open the door and that is your part done.
