Poynton sits under Cheshire East Council, and our sofa removal covers the SK12 postcode district. Send a picture of the sofa, we reply with a fixed price, and two people carry it out from wherever it is.
Most of the sofas we collect in Poynton are three seaters, corner sofas and recliners coming out of living rooms, upstairs lounges and flats. Tell us which floor the sofa is on and whether there is a lift, and the price we send already allows for the route out. If a corner sofa has to come apart, the crew does that in the room.
Cheshire East Council offers a bulky waste collection, which is usually booked in advance with the sofa left outside on the set day. We collect from the room it is in and aim for same-day or next-day wherever possible. Everything goes to a licensed waste transfer station under our upper tier waste carrier licence, CBDU526130, unless it is sound enough with its fire label to be passed on for reuse.
One fixed price from your photo
Send a picture, get a price for the whole job, pay once it is on the van. If anything looks different from the photo when we arrive, we tell you before we lift it.

Sofa removal in Poynton: questions answered
Which parts of Poynton do you cover?
We cover the whole of the SK12 postcode district in Poynton. If your postcode district is not in that list, send a photo anyway and we will tell you straight away.
How quickly can you collect a sofa in Poynton?
Same-day or next-day collection is offered wherever possible. Email early in the morning for the best chance of a slot that day, and we tell you what we can do before you commit.
Can you collect from a flat in Poynton?
Yes. Two people carry the sofa down the stairs or take it in the lift. Say which floor it is on and whether there is a lift, and the price we send already allows for the route.
Do I need to be in?
Someone needs to let the crew in and point to the sofa. If a neighbour, a letting agent or a key safe can do that instead, say so in your email.
What happens to my sofa after collection?
Reusable sofas with their fire safety label are passed on where possible. The rest go to a licensed waste transfer station, where the frame, foam and fabric are separated. Upholstered furniture is kept out of landfill.
Why not use the council bulky waste collection in Poynton?
You can, through Cheshire East Council. It is booked ahead and the sofa usually has to go outside on the set day. We collect from the room it is in and aim for same-day or next-day where possible. Send a photo and compare.
